I'm enjoying this video because I've have an door to a crawl space that I've wanted to convert into a bookshelf like your doing. A question on the project, if I recall the first episode correctly you were attaching the unit your building to the existing door - why not just hinge the new unit?
I was disappointed not to see the SS being used.

Thanks for watching Berry, I am attaching the bookcase to an exterior door I installed in the wall. I reinforced the frame to Handle the extra weight. If I didn't put the frame in myself then I probably would have used a piano hinge.
The Shopsmith will be used in an upcoming episode, I will be cutting another shelf. My craftsman tablesaw is tied up as a router table right now.
I mainly use my 510 for bandsaw, lathe, disk sander and drill press.
I use the tablesaw mode when I have to rip down sheet goods accurately with the whole table setup and a helper.
