New Pen Set

Post by dasgud »

I received some really nice spalted cedar (which I've never seen before) from Brick1 recently (thank you again Bill :) ) and turned a pen set with it.

I really enjoy turning pens. Just two hours and done. I'm out of CA glue so I just finished these with four coats of Shellawax.
I have so many pens now that I need to start writing. I don't even write a shopping list I just make that list on my phone...

Thanks for the compliment Dave. Yea that wood is beautiful. It smelled so nice while working it too. The pic doesn't even capture the way the highlights move.
