A little turning today

Had some shop time today. A small lidded box from a neighbor's gum tree... Burned the lines with a banjo string!

Very nice, Chris. Turned boxes are among my favorite thing to turn. Free wood is also nice :) .

Very nice. Is that. Spalting or the usual coloring of gum?

Spalting. Almost waited too long to turn it, the wood was getting punky...
