Well, after 6 months, the right-side door was rubbing a bit at the top in this dry indoor environment. Usually things just shrink when it's cold, but this door had evidently more of a compound reaction -- where the width shrank but lengthwise it got in a bit of a bind. No worries, just a bit of shaving needed!

OK... Another parsimonious wood project is now underway... looking to build a 3-legged bedside table!
I hate hogging out wood for moldings. Why not build up a molding from smaller pieces cut at the bandsaw?
Here is the table concept in progress. Recycled plywood top, recycled knock-down fasteners holding the legs to the plywood. Built-up moldings being eyeballed for proportions. Recycled German hand-plane (fastidiously restored using around $5000 of Shopsmith tools in the basement). Yep, I'm money ahead all right!!!

Just a bit more work done this week, better preparing several miter joints. One piece I cut too short... Oh No!!! But I made it into a "happy accident" by putting a "chamfer" rather than a "sharp corner" on the awkward 3rd leg outer corner area...

Here's the finished table ... left-over woods and a brand-new LED lamp. The bedside manner is enhanced .
