Yup. My 10ER came without any discernible safety equipment, but with a stern lesson from the previous owner that is pretty much summed up above. #1 was Never, I mean NEVER do anything other than the immediate operation with the power plugged in. Make the cut, or series of cuts with that tool, unplug the machine (I put the plug in my pocket while making changes), make the changes then only plug it in again once you are ready to cut, and have made triple sure that all things needing tightening are done so.
