Actually the owner of the bakery that made Gobs, Yost still makes Gobs and ships them all over this country. YOu place an order they collect them and I think on Tuesday they are baked and shipped. Along with the order they send you a receipt with final cost including shipping and you send them a check. Not many companies doing business this way any more.
Well, that is interesting. He's right across the street from Harbor Freight. I'll be there on my next trip over that way in a couple of days. Those raisin-filled cookies sound good too.

Ed, sorry to say that Bakery no longer has a retail outlet there on Scalp Ave. Was by there today and there is a sign inside saying they only do special orders now. So, I'll have to hit the Mennonite grocery store tomorrow for a gob.

I was by that steel plant as well and it looks like that photo was taken from the incline, perhaps while it was on the move.
