My humble opinion would be just to attach a hole-saw on your SS. (Horizontal or vertical position). Up to to 3" and it's consistant in quality, and it'd save you shipping. They'd need some finishing. Just saying.

When I was at the 5-sided foxhole in DC, many eons ago, I began listing to FM WAUN. Haven't given up any BLUEGRASS ever since. I subscribe to SERIUS on my sets, but only one channel has a "punch." Yep, my BLUEGRASS. On Sundays they play "Gospel Blue," in the morning. Guess what's...

I agree with Dusty. With any piece of equipment (Mine bought used), there are maintaince costs. For me it's less than $100. over the past nine years. If you add the price of my new PowerPro @$1800., I still get a bonus of increased power and SS support. Now, just let the weather warm up here in Wisc...

I don't post that much, but this string really caught my attention. The original post requested people critical of the SS were asked not to comment if they hadn't bought the equipment new. I bought mine in 2003 used, and have loved to use it ever since. I've upgraded from the 510 to 520 and now have...

Me too!

Even the online catalog is out of date. I'm willing to pay to get an up to date one. Hell, I spend enough $$ on our company. Count me in!

I got into HO while serving in Germany. I modeled in Epoche III (1945-70) Fleischmann which was near the top end models. Eight years ago, I gave my sons the 6 sets I had in storage, and said, "I'm done with model trains." Two years later, I went to a "Train-fest" in West Allis, a...

Well thanks alot. The good weather must stop south of the the Wisconsin state line. My weather is @ 46 deg and falling. I'd love to be in my unheated garage making minor projects and sawdust... Tomorrow the temp drops more and wind speeds up to 40 knots. Welcome to the midwest!.
