Hey, where is Tim?
I think his screen name has something to do with Gutters. He installs them and he had this knack for using shop terms in his post. Wood=would, etc...

Maybe I just haven't been back long enough to catch him posting.

I'm not sure where you are using shims but aluminum cans make good shims! They're easy to work with too, punch cut so-on.
Anything needing thinner shims, I'm not sure what to try.

Ed, your workbench soultion might be THE solution for the RAS alignment issues. I already have the proper Neg rake blade for the saw. Used Mr Sawdust like a good informed internet junky. In my RAS' case, it is too late. I already replaced it's duties with other tools. But... someone in my area will ...

The other problem is sending lawyers to state capitals and Washington, DC to represent us. Stop sending lawyers and we'll stop seeing stupid legislation. Lawyers have the idea that something is wrong with everything and someone is responsible or irresponsible, so they pass idiotic legislation becau...

My loophole, I bought a minimax MM16.:D That, the Mark Vs that I already own, some hand tools and routers, what more does a guy need? In the last few years I started getting away from the mentality that the table saw needed to be the center of the workshop universe. I think you'll see more people go...

I never had any problems with accuracy with the RAS in shop class but the used RAS that Dad purchased and most of my friends, along with the old DeWalt that i purchased a few yea...

Ha ha, I just saw this thread. I did go to culinary school in Coos bay Oregon. I've been working here in Northern Ca since graduation and have been cooking at one of the better restaurants in our area for the last year. I'm tinkering with wood again and an occasional lurker/reader. This summer's age...
