Re: Where did you get your shopsmith?
Purchased it new from the Cincinnati woodworking show in 1989. Picked it up at the Shopsmith store off the Mt. Healthy 275 exit. Anyone remember what they paid new? I paid right around $1,200 for a 510. I remember Total Shop had a booth right in back of Shopsmith and there was some competition going...

Sears selling Craftsman brand for nearly $1 billion
Sears selling Craftsman brand for nearly $1 billion to Stanley Black & Decker Interesting reading the link below it says in part. To accommodate the future growth of Craftsman, we intend to expand our manufacturing footprint in the U.S. This will add jobs in the U.S., http://www.bizjournals.com/...

Re: Work bench top
A good read if you are wanting to build a new bench. https://www.amazon.com/Workbenches-Design-Construction-Popular-Woodworking/dp/1558708405/ref=la_B001JRZTJA_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1480873532&sr=1-1 It totally changed my mind from what I thought I wanted vs what I needed. Douglas Fir ...

I keep a bottle of Howard Feed N Wax in the shop for small projects. Comes in handy.

Shopsmith Pro Planer
I don't get much shop time now days but a guy at work asked me to plane down two cedar boards. I pulled out my Shopsmith Pro Planer tonight I purchased 25 years ago.
After all the junk sold now days, Just a great feeling to use something so well made.
Thanks Shopsmith.
