Although apparently they doubled the price of the window shortly after I posted the upgrade procedure... http://www.shopsmith.net/forums/showthread.htm?t=6716 The window...

I believe that you are misinformed. I have shipped several Mark V mounted planers at reasonable cost without any damage to the planers. But I buy boxes and packaging material that will stand up. Misinformed? No. Exaggerating? Perhaps a little. I suppose to ...

$640 US isn't unreasonable, especially as the planer looks to be in excellent condition. One advantage is that it is local, as I understand it no one can pack a planer well enough to have it arrive undamaged. I also have found this true with clocks but that is another story. If this is more than you...

I don't agree that the mandating of seat belts and airbags are in the same category. I'm technologically impaired. Can someone explain what spam is? (a spammer must be someone who spams.) Where it comes from? How to get rid of it? And anything else I should know. Or send me to a link that provides an understanding of these topics in basic English. Thank you. Berry, For a good, basi...

I'm in Melrose a little town about 25 miles east of Gainesville. My 510 has been upgraded to 520 and now has the Power Pro as well. I also have a number of other tools with which I can transform perfectly good wood and metal into piles shavings. For now woodworking is confined to the laundry room or...

Correct, the blocks keep the blade from drifting off of the bearing. For my next bandsaw trick in 2012 (after next year's refund of an overpayment to the Feds ]http://www.carterproducts.com/product.asp?product_id=34&cat_id=14 ). Using this, you can apparently use a 1/4" blade as if i...

Cheer up, at least you are on the favorable end of the exchange rate. The horological stuff I purchase from England costs dearly.
