Jim Parks, I love it especially for resawing and for making very small adjustments. I used it to fit 12x12 tiles in two very large floating floors and the scale made the job very fa...

I need to build a sacrificial fence for molding. I see the sketch in the PTWfE 4th edition page 68, but I do not see how to fasten that to the 520 fence. I have no holes in my fence and do not wish to drill any. I use the Rockler table saw fence clamps http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page=17821 ...

I epoxied the nuts to the inside of the belt cover. I was too cheap to pay for new belt covers as I have a co...

I read other members have inadvertently made contact with either of the shafts and lost skin and have subsequently added the shaft guard. If you install the shaft guard, it means the you lose the ability to turn the quill by hand from the rear. Shopsmith came out with the quill twister which is des...

You have said this several times and it still amazes me. EBay prices don't support your statement UNLESS you sold everything that wasn't nailed down (including the kitchen sink). I have been quietly saving up my pennies and am still vacillating between the DIY upgrade and taking the heasdstock down to Dayton (after calling ahead of course). As a quick review, what are the advantages and disadvantages of both ways? BPR If you are willing to sell everything you don't need any...

I've heard and read both good and bad concerning the Power Pro upgrade and have the following questions: 1. Has anyone completed the upgrade themselves and if so, were there any major problems? 2. There were initial reports of the motor overheating - is this true, or has this problem been solved? 3...

I'd have to know why there is a cap. If it is there just to shield those who don't need to be shielded (the wealthy) then I would support its demise. Because there is a CAP on the amount you get paid, if I am Bill Gates or Warren Buffet I get the same amount in Social Security and someone making le...
