Recently swapped a guy a band saw for a ss mounted planer. I tear it down and found the aluminum housing on feed motor to machine has a large crack about 3 1/2 inches long like it had been dropped and side pressure did it? Upon repairing and painting entire unit I try and crank the table up and down...

I have acquired a 50 year anniversary model shop smith. It has been updated to a power pro and put onto a 520 system. What if any extra was done on this model other than the color and size of inspection plate?

when turning on ss there is a clicking sound even in low speed. It it possibly hitting the speed dial arm??

I have a 520 that shines like show room condition. I also have 510 that are not so shiny. Wondering is there anyway to retard the fading/oxidation on the tubes?

I don't see price break downs for 510 or 520 just Mark 7 am I missing a page? Is $2200.00 a decent asking price for a 520 and Power Pro head stock in almost mint condition? Haven't seen but one PP for sale so they must be the way to go!!

he presently has a 520 like new condition(no double tilt or lift assist), a Power Pro, a dc3300 vac, bandsaw aluminum table, and older jointer and wants 2500.00. He wanted 3500 but it was too high. I have and extra set of ends for the mark v. I am wondering if I could use the one end that tilts on my other mark v and thereby have a double tilt machine or would I run into interference some how? I see SS have and upgrade for $529 plus shipping.
