Were these bought over the years as you kept growing taller:D I like the idea of repurposing. I have a stack of old jeans that or only worn through at the thighs. If I am good, I may have some denuim dust covers made for some of the shop tools. I just have to convince the resident sewing machine ope...

Thanks Ed, I like your idea for the pin lock much better than anything I have seen "store bought". I have the G-3 chuck so it looks like all I need to do is measure the outside diameter of the adapter to find the correct idex plate from Ironfire and then I should be in business. If I get r...

I got a phone call yesterday about it flying over Tucson. I was on my way to a good vantage point when it showed up 15 minutes earlier than expected. I just pulled way over off of the freeway and watched. No camera:( While it was very exciting to see it was also kinda of sad. The final page in a cha...

Just don't let your S.O. find out that you re-purposed the hair dryer:eek:

Generally 3/4" by 3/4" by 5" for most pen kits. There are some that are a bit larger and a bit smaller ( the mini purse pens or neck pens as an example of smaller) so that would mean there is no such thing as "scrap";) . I would guess (I am worse than a novice in this regard...

I thank all of you for your replies but after several days of due diligence and a couple of bids from reputable companies I have decided that the split mini heat pump units would be the ideal solution but are very cost prohibitive. I could almost build a new shop with central heat and air for what ...

I found some of the Shopsmith brand sandpaper at the Lowes on Valencia in Tucson. They also had the "gator" brand of which I have not been very impressed with. I plan on giving the Shopsmith brand a try. They went to 320 grit at Lowes. Does anyone know if they (Shopsmith) offer finer grits?
