It may have been posted previously, and I haven't tried, but it looks to me like the HF folding 1000# Engine Crane or a Craigslist "patient lift" might work. It would eliminate mounting and store reasonably well. Has anyone with an engine crane tried using it for moving SPTs?

I went through a similar experience last year. I had some of the parts, but not all. I ordered the featherguard upgrade. It was backordered for a l-l-long time. SS split the order for me and sent the post, spring, and washers. The new top cap is a little different but will fit.
