Re: Call Before 4:30PM EST

I spoke with Dave last week so he was still there. Spring Break here so some folks may be out with family. I try to place my orders on-line, but when they give you a discount by email for something, their system is set up in a way you have to talk with someone to use that discount. If that piece of ...

Re: Call Before 4:30PM EST

I have been there and not done that so to speak myself. Actually I guess it would be... So not to speak. 4:30. I will try to remember that.

Re: Disaster when changing the poly v belt

There should be a washer and a screw in the hole at 1:00 in reference to the eccentric bushing that keeps the bearings in the eccentric bushing from walking out the bushing as it has in the picture. Again, these are things you can fix and folks here are glad to help. We have all had to do a variety ...

Re: Disaster when changing the poly v belt

Re: Buying a Used Shopsmith Revisited

Just a touch-up. The "first" commercially available Shopsmith was the 10 E, not the 10 ER. As was mentioned, the ER was a Revised version. The E model was the first. (Which, since it wasn't the 10 or 10 A, may have been the 5th or 6th version, but the first version sold.) steve You are ab...

Re: Disaster when changing the poly v belt

Agree it should be moved to maintenance and repair. Is this a Shopsmith brand Poly-V Belt you installed or one from eBay etc.? I heard they can come in undersized and as much trouble as you had putting it on it could be an issue. If it is OEM, I would sight down the headstock from the top to make su...

Re: Trying to find main table upgrade for mark v 500

I have a Mark V 500 that has an old main table without Tee slots, it has just plain slots that can't accept the accessories that will lock down to the Tee slots! I know you can get an upgrade kit that comes with the main table, but I'm not looking to spend over $1000, when all I want is the new sty...

Re: I'm back...

It is good news indeed. I just got my wife back late last year after she had a stroke in 2013 and was out of the home, hospitalized or in an in-resident rehabilitation for 11 months. She can now walk with a cane and is learning to speak again. I know how excited I am and I can only imagine how thril...
