Go ahead Marc..... do the right half with the oil finish and leave the left side natural. You'll have the best of both worlds!
My choice for what is worth, apply a nice oil finish for looks. Yeah, I'm a cosmetic kinda guy as you veterans here know.
Interested in opinions on a stain only???

Re: My first woodworking bench is nearly complete
Nice work Marc. The project end is in sight. Love the rolling caster design on the legs. How about posting a close up and link to them.

Re: Everything E / ER - Technical info, documentation, links
Time will tell dusty. I retired last Friday so I am going to have to find SOMETHING to do with all my time besides vacations, mountain biking, and driving Mrs. Daigle crazy. That last item is likely the easiest! :D True. It's a short trip! (On no honey, I wasn't talking about you. I was talking abo...

Ahhhhh.....retirement! RV purchase time.
Retired last Friday! Been waiting my whole working career for this day. Not that I didn't like my job, but I always looked forward to that day where my life was my own. At 64, it's time to have 100% freedom from work responsibilities. Looking for a nice RV, our first. Wife REALLY wants small class B...

Neither Pinkie nor wifey as a woodworker ever came to fruition. Pinkie idea goes back probably 8 years. When God w...

Seems that user name is registered as of June 2 and 20 seconds into that new day. Any idea what problems he is seeing? Ed He said he did not receive the activation response e-mail. He also said "I began looking around in the Community forum and found that, since March, members have been talkin...

mickyd here. Gifted my ER10 to a friend. He needs admin registration help
Hey gang! Been ages since I've been on the forum. Felt nice looking around seeing familiar names. I gifted my ER10 to a friend who is a newbie woodworker. You'll see him on the forum (user name 'joncast') as soon as he can resolve his registration problem. I told him to contact Shopsmith custome...
