I bought a bandsaw and belt sander off Craigslist last night! I've been watching Craigslist halfheartedly for a bandsaw for a while now. I just happened to check 1 hour after this one was listed. The guy was also selling the belt sander and I just couldn't pass it up. Both are late 1985 vintage. I'...

Hoping the combination cork/rubber gasket material will help that problem.

Did I mention, Leak-Free?

Just to reiterate, the cheap/easy DIY gasket did not have any adhesive, compression only on clean surface.

100% Leak-free with the new gasket and seals. I was VERY surprised after reading all of the unsuccessful posts for folks that have tried this.

Rebuilt Leaky Jigsaw - Really Cheap and Easy!

I picked up a 1980's Jigsaw that was filthy with sawdust, grime, and lots of oil stains all over it. Used a grease cutter to get it to look like new. I also purchased new oil seals for the top and side drive shaft--only cost me about $10 from a hydraulic parts company in the midwest (source and part...

:( I found out why Rust-oleum Hammered Verde Green (7216830 ) is so hard to get hold of. It is a discontinued product. And I quote from the Rust-oleum people: FYI. This product is being discontinued. We do have some stock which you can get if you order before it runs out. You will have to order by ...

Dennis,

Thanks for the photos and post. I now realize I have the regular and dado insert and not the molder insert. I'll send the previous owner another note with a picture of that too.

Sawsmith 2000 Molder Head

So if the previous owner of my Sawsmith 2000 cannot find the molder head for it, I can use the latest one sold by Shopsmith and it is identical? I do have the molder/dado insert.

I assume the standard shopsmith Dado blades work in the Sawsmith 2000.

Sawsmith 2000 Ultra Manual

Hi all,

I just purchased a used Sawsmith 2000 Ultra with the Excalibur fence and am looking for a manual (preferably scanned/.pdf/word)

Shopsmith is backordered without any due date on this.

Does anyone have a version they could send me?

Thanks

Sawsmith 2000 Base Flex

I just picked up a used Ultra Sawsmith 2000 and assembled it. I notice that the base is VERY flexible...the whole thing wobbles and is very flimsy. Any ideas on how to beef it up? Has anyone bolted the base legs to a heavy duty mobile base to improve that issue? Would it e better to get one of those...
