I have a 1979 vintage Mark V. I am passing it down to my son who has inquisitive children. I read somewhere on the Shopsmith website that there is a plan for a latch that secures the Speed Dial knob of the Mark V and engages with the pad lock at the On/Off switch. ordered headstock lock parts 3 pieces on Feb fourth.
Checked Monday and status says will ship within ten days.
Checked today and status is (working to resolve back orders by March 1st.)

Area in between lips is groove, depression or whatever?????
Area is flat and is machined not cast.........
The tire comes about to the top of the lip...

Making some tea light holders. Need 1 5/8 hole drilled in end grain
Cannot find a spade bit that size. Forstner bit does not work very well.
So, drill with 1 5/8 hole saw, and cleanup with 1 1/2 spade bit......

this is what I have. Small shop so, cant use a clamp cart.
Notice the orange clamps just hook into the bracket. No, need to screw
and unscrew to use them.

The Ford v-8 would have been in that car.
It had three exhaust ports. The center two
cylinders were siamesed into one.
