Frame Master

I've got one of the Fletcher Frame Masters and absolutely love it. I got mine 8 or 9 years ago from Dick Blick Art Supplies, a very reputable company. Their price is much less than Rockler's...at least for now. An added benefit of the Frame Master is that you can also get Glaziers points if you need...

Upgrading my 510 to a 520....?

I too have been cussing/discussing with myself on upgrading my 510 to a 520. I picked up a 510 setup, for what was to me a very reasonable price, about 8 years ago, and have used it for quite a few different projects. For every project I've done, all rip cuts were made on the 510. For probably 85% o...

Internet Archive

Lots and lots of digitized books and audio programs at Internet Archives . You just have to sort thru the chaff. Found a 1938 recording of "The Shadow" in just a few seconds. I've found numerous woodworking books. Even found a digitized version of my 1904 Edgar Allen Poe 10 volume set. Bac...

Ouch! I've seen the same behavior of the wireless remote turning my DC on. It happens fairly frequently if I unplug the extension cord to run a different tool, and then plug the DC back in. I do remember once of being in the kitchen and hearing a noise from the attached garage.....we had experienced...

Yes, I agree that the resulting kerf will be wider than the thickness of the blade. Thus a cove cut if this was a non-thru cut. Please bare with me here. I am slow when I must envision these things. I have to touch and feel to grasp the facts. I am still thinking about this statement. " I disa...

Gonna be a contrarian here. I would prefer #1(solid bottom). The groove need not be as deep as shown. All the groove does is prevent the divider from moving front/rear. I think 1/8" is more than adequate for that. I also think 1/2" thickness of the divider is excessive(but likely what is ...

Why not ? Raise the quill, place the workpiece/pattern on the table, lower the quill and sand the inner edge. Yeah, it will work as long as everything fits on the inside of the oval. "Everything" being the guide attached to the miter slot. The "32 x 20" would work just fine. A 6...

Bogus (or worse) plan package email

I've received several SPAM messages over the last month or so that appear to be an offer from Woodworker's Journal, or American Woodworker, or Popular Woodworking, or ..... for a set of plans. I almost clicked on one of them without looking because I had been communicating that same day with whateve...

The Shopsmith Pattern Sanding Guide would work on the OD, but not so well on the ID.

Maybe a custom table insert with a disk the same size as the sander drum.....Kinda like the Overhead Pin Routing concept.

Pretty much a duplicate of what BuckeyeDennis said.
