Re: plough planes

Find a Stanley 45/55 but you won't regret a new Veritas Plow Plane. The new and improved version has a wide variety of accessory irons that will pretty much cover anything you might want to do that a plow plane is designed for.

Re: New PTWFE

Drawn from details on page 55 1989 edition, click on the URL two components a rail and drawer blade <<https://a360.co/2TysWnx>>. Not sure what the criticism is here. I get it new cover same material but the devil is in the details. Earlier post indicated you can't make this as illustrated in PTWFE. ...

Re: Storm windows- need master advice

Actually I think the perfect tool for corner cleanup is a small bullnose plane with the front slipped off which I guess then makes it a chisel plane. When super sharp oh what perfection to cleanup those pesky corners. A marking gauge to mark the 1/16 trim and a few strokes with the bullnose plane fi...

Re: Storm windows- need master advice

Easy solution... clamp a straightedge parallel to the edge you need to remove the 1/16 from exactly 1/16" less than the distance from your router base edge to the outside edge of the bit. Stop short of either end and with a sharp chisel trim the remaining small bits. Nothing fancy, nothing expe...

Re: Pat on the back for shopsmith

Off topic but still related, where did you find the procedure for replacing the locks and for that matter where did you find the remounting instructions for the Power Pro motor. The Power Pro manual has nothing on the lock replacement nor on mounting or remounting of the motor. Nothing in the MarkV ...

Re: First outing with the SO

Go to youtube and pull up videos by Lars Christensen and Fusion 360. Within a very short time you will be flying along. As a longtime Sketchup user I am doing things within Fusion 360 I can't even imagine doing with Sketchup. I am also probably only using 5% of the capabilities within fusion. Here i...

Re: segmenting jig

Try commercial double sided carpet tape. Hot cold damp. Does leave a residue though but cleans up with 3M adhesive remover. Not sure what the material is on the bottom of my Festool 1400 but I always have a tough time taking the tape apart.

Re: segmenting jig

Routing the arc is a snap following Jerry Bennett's video. Pretty easy to drill two quarter inch holes at a precise distance apart on a batten to use as the pivot arm for the router. Takes longer to put a bit in the collet than two pieces of double sided tape to the router base. Drop a 1/4" bol...

Re: Power Pro Lifeless

For what it's worth. I just received shipping notice today that an item I ordered back in July from a completely different company, not is any way related to Shopsmith is preparing to ship. I also had and email with a different vendor that informed me his stock was backordered and I would be looking...
