About a month ago, my 1986 Shopsmith didn't turn on. Nothing - no noise/humming or anything from the motor. I ended up sending it into Jacob and a week or so after it came back and sounds brand new. He does great work and I bought his DVD's and it was great watching him take the headstock completely...

What about sales tax when getting one of the upgrades at Lowes? Do you have to pay any local tax?

Another email special for the G3 which I may finally buy into. Reading threads from the past few years sounds like there have been adapter screw-ups. I assume all has been worked out and ordering (from Shopsmith) all correct hardware arrives? FYI, I did a rough comparison from Shopsmith's email spec...

I got the email today and was wondering if any of you would bite the bullet and get this upgrade. I know there was a healthy discussion about how they made a Mark VII out of a Mark V but I guess that question has been answered for some time now. Looks pretty neat but I already have an original Mark...

I have a "new" upper guard of sorts, but I need to realign the riving knife behind the blade. Where is the mechanism to do that?

Kreg Beaded Face-Frame System

Has anyone taken a look at the Precision Beaded Face-Frame System by Kreg? I'll be starting work on kitchen cabinets at some point and this system looks pretty slick. Of course for the price it should be, but then again making something similiar vs. the time to correctly do it may not be worth it. T...

Shopsmith DVD Reference Videos

I got the email that has all 6 DVDs for sale for $129.94. Thats a little over $21 a piece. Anyone have any of these? Hows's the quality? One of the things I do is make professional DVDs so I can be pretty critical on compression, etc. Is the content the same as the Sawdust Sessions? Just trying to f...
