Re: Just Bought a Model 10ER Shopsmith
For info on the 10ER, the Yahoo users group is a great resource. You can find it here: https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/Shopsmith10ERusers/conversations/messages Skip Campbell is THE expert on these machines, and he administers the Yahoo group. He is a great source of 10ER info and parts. Checkou...

Re: New member Reddogsolar
Also, join the 10ER users group over on Yahoo Groups. There are a bunch of great people over there too who know everything about these machines. They've helped me out on two restores. You can access the site here: https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/Shopsmith10ERusers/info No matter how rough the ma...

Re: Dust Collector
I just took my DC3300 apart last weekend to replace all the seals. It's probably not just tight; there are two hard to spot screws you may have missed. Look behind and below the motor box (in your photo) between the "fins" on the outside of the machine underneath the motor vent area. There...

Re: Porta-Shop-Mini-Shopsmith
I've bought a few of these machines off eBay - all for around $200 or less, including delivery. There are a few listed on eBay now, but they are all pretty overpriced in my opinion. These machines are interesting and can do some lightweight small scale work well, but there is no real comparison betw...

Re: loft bed with desk underneath plans
Yes, there are shelves at this end and I plan to (eventually) build a free-standing desk to go at the far end. The shelves are built strong enough to work as a ladder on all sides. This project was a great success for me since my niece loves it!

Re: loft bed with desk underneath plans
I built a loft bed for my niece last year. I looked at a lot of online plans and combined them. I'll see if I can dig out my sketches. One suggestion is to make the bed and the desk as separate pieces. That way you can complete them as separate projects and can keep the desk even if the bed has lost...

Re: First Post: Inherited Rusty Mark V. Now What?
To really restore this machine you need to take it apart. This disassembly and re re-assembly is not too hard, but I reco taking some photos to help with the re-assembly. It looks like your lower Bench Tubes are worse than your upper Way (or headstock) Tubes. Since the headstock does not ride on the...

Re: Car Trivia of a sort
I always wondered if the Dodge Carvan, one of the first minivans, was named that because it was essentially a CAR(and)-A-VAN

Re: Help Getting Started
Jared,
Try unlocking the table from the tubes too and sliding it away from the headstock. Sometimes their is a very small amount of flew in the tubs and if the table is locked it makes it hard to move the headstock (and visa-versa)

Re: Another planned project needs a new home...
I'm the guy who got the RASs - and their restoration near the top of my to do list. I saw this machine in the storage unit and can vouch for it being a good one. I hope it finds a great home with someone who will restore and treasure it.
