WARNING! Festool email bad

I clicked on a Festool give away offer and it locked my browser wanting me to an 855 number. I expect that would make me an 'offer' on how to unlock - for a nice fee I am sure.

It was a VERY GOOD copy of the usual Festool emails.

I am reloading my opsys now.

Vacation continuing for a while...

I apologize for the abrupt way that I declared my hiatus earlier. JPG had little to do with it; rather, I was (am still?) in a funk over the loss of a very dear friend to cancer. I struggled with him for a year and a half almost daily and was devastated by his passing - even though it was inevitable...

I will take a vacation….

Since it is clear to me that my advice on Shopsmith issues is ill-conceived, I think that I should just go away for a good while and re-think things Shopsmith.

Been fun, for the most part!

Re: shop layout

I envy you having that much space where you don't have to park a car at night! :) Ben is correct in his suggestion to 'play act' your work to see if the layout is useful. You might consider walling off an area to be used strictly for finishing - i.e., dust free. Now if we can just get rid of the poo...

Re: Shopsmith Jointer

I do not think two more screws will affect height. I do not see 3 affecting it???? Well, I have just witnessed that affect on blade height when I installed blades. And the Shopsmith Jointer Manual page 14 says: "11. Completely tighten the wedge locking screws. [Then telling how to do that] 12....

Shopsmith Jointer

Not sure where to put this but I am reviewing the Shopsmith Jointer, I think. For those on the Forum who purchase used Shopsmith items, I suggest that you look at the 505681-B Jointer 3 blade wedges (P/N 521945) for condition before you buy it. From Shopsmith CS today: "Our wedges now have 5 ho...
