The 1981 model 500 I bought came with an upgraded saw guard (see pic) but not the mounting block, so I bought one. To determine the exact mounting location on the worktable bar, I need to know how the saw guard sits on the table. Does the clear plastic shield sit flat on the surface or is it raised...

The 'drilling and tapping' is on the backside of the fence. It provides a mounting point for the backside shaft/cutter shield. It consists of two holes. If you are accustomed to drilling and tapping it is of minimal concern. There seem to be different versions of the fence that have a different loc...

I bought a used dc300 a while back. Put a new bag on it about a year ago. Today was taking the bag off to empty , and noticed that the bolts had poked holes in the bag three places. It looks like the bolts stick out just enough to catch the bag. \Each time machine starts I notice that the bag moves...

I have some items that I am trying to sell for my brother in law and don't know exactly what some of them are and what model they may fit. I know some of tham are mortising pieces, but again don't know what model they fit. The first and second pictures, I really don't know what they are. As Dennis ...

Not a bad idea, SD! Folks are durn proud of their lower saw guards on ebay! Guess I might have to bite the bullet. When it comes to Ebay patience is often rewarded. It does not look like there is much of a selection at this moment. There is at least one current style 500 guard system listed current...

Does anyone want to swap a Mark V 500 lower saw guard for a 510 guard? I just bought a 500 and my saw guard is for a 510. The guy I bought it from had two and gave the 510 to his nephew. You may want to keep the 510 guard as it can be used to collect dust when sanding off table with the 12" sa...
