I bought the lid from Grizzly that fits on a small galvanized trash can. I did place some foam weather stripping around the inside of the lid to prevent air loss. I also bungee the lid to the can to prevent loss of suction. I have emptied the metal can 3 times now and still have no need to empty the...

What finish for teak?
I just got a major good deal on some 8/4 teak end cuts and want to make some small boxes with some of it. What is a good finish for small teak projects? I have heard of only using paste wax for things that will not get much wear or shellac for medium usage. I normally like a tung oil finish but hear...

I agree with the recommendation for Whiteside bits. I tried using my Shopsmith bits (dovetail and 1/2 inch straight in particular) with my Incra to do some dovetails and box joints and the bits were not quite the right size. Not all 1/2 inch bits cut a true 1/2 inch in diameter. It nearly drove me c...

Miter 5000 Storage?
Has anyone out there ever come up with a good design for storing the Incra Miter 5000? I love mine to death but have had a very hard time coming up with a bracket or holder to store it in due to the size and protuberances that stick out in some odd places. Ideas will be appreciated.
Thanks - Phil

I am sure enjoying my Incra Ultralite jig for making dovetails and box joints. Once you get the hang of this little gem, they are a piece of cake. It will make dovetails (both blind and half blind), box joints, double dovetails, double box joints, variable spaced joints of all kinds and it didn't co...

The patterns are cut and paste of anywhere from 1 to 5 pages and I will for sure make copies before I cut them out. Very well done pattern and some color photo's to boot. I can't wait to start making some sawdust on this one. The only minor problem I can see is making some square dowels with tapered...

Just got this plan in today ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ROCKING-CHAIR-PL...115169003r8684 ) and it sure looks good so far. Fifty one pages of full size plans and I am most anxious to get started on this one. Probably going to have to wait until after Christmas due to work. I will hopefully get some pictur...

I recently added a Grizzly G0478 table saw to my shop and have really enjoyed the large table top and ease of doing miters and bevels. It's a 2hp Hybrid saw and about as much as my shop could handle size wise. Still have the Shopsmith 520 and use it for things other than table saw needs. Everyones m...
