Once again, Shopsmith leads the pack in woodworking education with the introduction of HANDS ONLINE! VBOOKS™. This ingenious new form of “info-tainment” combines the excitement of live demonstration, the in-depth information of books, the visual power of video, and the experience of master craftsmen with the convenience of modern media. Not only does it deliver video, photography, illustration, text, plans, and Internet resources in one package, you can view it three different ways:
• ON YOUR TELEVISION – Pop it in your DVD player, turn on the tube, and watch the video presentation as large as you’d like.
• ON YOUR COMPUTER – Mount it in your DVD disc drive and you’ll see the distinctive “virtual classroom” in which we webcast our Sawdust Sessions. But there’s a new twist. In addition to the video frame and the “blackboard,” you also get a “notebook” with a detailed outline of the presentation, links to relevant Internet sites, and a convenient method of finding and reviewing the video information.
• ON YOUR MP4 PLAYER – The VBook also offers the videos in a standard “podcast” format. Download them to your iPod™ or M P4 player and take them with you when you’re on the go.
