They are made with hard maple jaws. Cork faces on the jaws protect your work from marring. The clamp is light weight, quick to adjust, and easy to work with. Sliding freely along rigid, lightweight steel bars, the jaws lock firmly in position with up to 300 lbs. of clamping force with a quick flip of the wooden cam lever. Great all-around clamps for all types of jobs... especially for those where you need a long reach.
