Filter Hoods let you choose your level of Dust Collection

The Filter Hood of a Dust Collector cleans the air that's returned to the environment once the dust is removed. As it does this, a "cake" of dust forms on the inside of the Hood. As the cake gets thicker, the hood traps smaller and smaller particles, increasing its dust-capturing efficiency.
Our standard 12” Hood is designed to capture particles as small as 7 microns in size…the 24” model will capture particles as small as 5 microns….and the “super” 42” model will capture particles down to an amazing 1 micron in size ! The two optional (24” & 42”) Hoods offer up to four times the surface area of our original equipment Hood, and that helps them maintain optimum airflow, even though the internal “cake” is thickening and the particle size is getting smaller.
Made of a special polyester felt, all three Hoods are fully washable, although this is seldom necessary. When you feel that the airflow has been reduced below a level that you’re comfortable with, simply turn on your Dust Collector and tap the sides of the Hood firmly several times to dislodge the “cake” from the inside of the Hood.
The 42” Hood comes complete with a Support Rod, Mounting Brackets, a Drilling Template and complete instructions for attaching the Rod to your DC-3300.
